Most vending owners settle for “good enough” locations — and pay the price.
The best spots? They make all the difference.
The right location can double your profits without doubling your workload.
In last week’s live Vending Machine Launchpad session, my partner Jaime and I broke down 5 vending locations that are proven to bring in steady sales and long-term success.
Here’s the list 👇

Location #1: Gyms 🏋🏽
Start with local or franchise gyms like Gold’s Gym instead of massive corporate chains.
Why? Smaller gyms are often more open to partnerships, and they usually have less red tape to deal with.
Here’s the best part: gym-goers are creatures of habit.
They show up regularly, and many of them are looking for quick snacks, drinks, or supplements to keep them going.
Stock your machine with high-demand items like protein bars, energy drinks, or even healthier snack options.
If the gym offers personal training or group classes, even better.

Location #2: College Areas 🎓
Target high-traffic spots like dorms, apartments, and especially frat houses.
These places are packed with students who live busy lives and constantly need quick snack options.
They love late-night snacks, giving you a steady stream of sales even after hours.
When I started, my first vending machine was in a frat house, and it made $4,000 in the first month!
P.S. Curious about how I got started? I shared the whole story in a tweet!
When I was 20, I lost $15,000 to sports betting in college.

Location # 3: Manufacturing Plants 🏢
Focus on locations with min 50 or more employees.
If you can, aim for 24/7 operations. This means employees working late nights or early shifts will still have access to your machine.
In large manufacturing plants, distribution facilities, and warehouses, people rely on vending machines for quick meals, snacks, and drinks during breaks.
By placing your machine in areas like a lounge or near the breakroom, you can become the go-to option for busy professionals.
It’s a simple setup with massive earning potential.

Location #4: Apartment Complexes 🏠
Look for complexes with at least 200 units. Larger ones with 400+ units are even better for steady traffic and reliable sales.
Why? The more residents, the more consistent your vending machine usage will be.
People living in these complexes often grab snacks or drinks for convenience, especially if the nearest store is a hassle to get to.
Place your machine near the clubhouse, laundry room, or any high-traffic common area to maximize visibility.

Location # 5: Hospitals and Medical Centers 🏥
Hospitals and medical centers are unbeatable for vending machine traffic.
These places run 24/7, meaning your machine stays busy around the clock.
Focus on areas like break rooms, waiting rooms, and common spaces where both staff and visitors gather.
Healthcare workers often work long shifts and depend on convenient snacks and drinks to keep going. Visitors also appreciate easy access to refreshments during long wait times.
